Hi all,
just a short message from the FOSDEM 2011 and our activities there - and since some of them are Design Team related, let's have a look at that ... Blog Day 1: http://luxate.blogspot.com/2011/02/fosdem-2011-first-bits-and-pieces.html Blog Day 2: http://luxate.blogspot.com/2011/02/fosdem-2011-summary.html Design Team Presentations Page: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Presentations Note: It is recommended that you view the ODP in the presentation mode in Impress. Information about LibreOffice talks: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Events/Fosdem2011 You may also consider to scan the TDF Planet - for example, Italo also shared his slides, and Cor summarized his perceptions. Enjoy! And, it would be great to hear some thoughts ... oh, and thanks to Bernhard for reviewing the presentation in advance! Hi Irmhild,
thanks for the feedback - quite encouraging. Knowing that I still owe you a drink, we might also go for a nice cappuccino ;-) Cheers, Christoph Am Dienstag, den 08.02.2011, 09:36 +0100 schrieb Irmhild Rogalla: > Dear Christoph, * > > Am 07.02.2011 23:56, schrieb Christoph Noack: > > Hi all, > > > > just a short message from the FOSDEM 2011 and our activities there - > > ... > > > Design Team Presentations Page: > > http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Presentations > > very nice presentation - slide 8 is my absolute favorite ;-) > > kind regards > Irmhild > -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [hidden email] List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/design/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity *** |

Would you have better photos of the LibreOffice related articles that you had at the booth: clothing in particular. I think it would be interested for other groups, who will participate in other conferences, to see how the booth was set up as well as photos of articles that were given away or sold. I would like to add this to the wiki marketing "Conference Kit" wiki page as examples for others to see. Would it be OK for me to grab some of the photos from your blog to do this? Some of the shots of the booth and disc/pen/strap thingy are good ones to reference. Hi Marc,
here we go ... I uploaded some of the pictures in original size, and I took some new ones to better present the clothes. The only issue is, that it was already a bit dark - so I had to use an external flash. Unfortunately, some of the pictures have weird colors (but: the real shirts colors differed a lot). I hope that it'll work anyway ... https://picasaweb.google.com/noack.christoph/LibreOfficeMarketing# Some comments concerning the booth layout - maybe helpful for the "Best Practices": * The larger banners hung in different directions, so that they could be seen from anywhere. * Some of the small banners put on the windows (in the background) were directed towards the outside. * We offered some green colored sweets * A "booth emergency pack" should contain: tape (different types), a knife, twine, flipchart pens (different colors), cough drops (very important for events > 1 day) Everyone - anything missing? Were these give-aways or for sale? If you had internet connection, what did you take with you and what would you have preferred? Maybe also mention a bit on how you financed the articles for the conference. Did you get some funding support? I'll pick up the photos soon. For some reason my ISP is having problems with connection in our neighbourhood today. There were also stickers, and shirts for sale, and a donation box. I can't
remember if there was one at FOSDEM, but a computer running LibreOffice would be a good idea. -Surat On Thu, Feb 10, 2011 at 10:51 PM, Christoph Noack <[hidden email]>wrote: > Hi Marc, > > here we go ... > > Am Donnerstag, den 10.02.2011, 06:21 -0500 schrieb Marc Paré: > > Le 2011-02-07 17:56, Christoph Noack a écrit : > > I would like to add this to the wiki marketing "Conference Kit" wiki > > page as examples for others to see.
