Note for SCALE 9x - DFD 2011

Hi,

Just a note while I think of it.

SCALE will is end of Feb, Document Freedom Day was in March 2010.

If DFD 2011 timing is similar to 2010, we should use that as a good
basis for a hand out piece - we would promote, urge, people to get
involved on a super local level with some DFD activity.

Ties back into the discussion on overcoming ODF objections I think..

just a thought..

Drew

Yes you are right. I just read that someone in Edmonton Canada made a
big deal of DFD 2010 and I am hoping to contact him. We should try to
find out the date and put it on the "international LibO calendar of
events" even if we don't know who will be attending. We need to keep
filling in dates regardless of an attendee or not. At least we would
have a record and we could review our successes at attending event later
for market strategy.
