Notebookbar Buttons instead of Tabs

Hi,

would it be possible to have buttons that can open the context-xxx thing.
The "problem" is that when I have a context toolbar it is really awesome
but it would be nice to show the user what are the context toolbars AND to
save space it would be way easier to say if you want to insert something to
to the insert Button, ...

I know it's something like a tabbed toolbar, BUT at tabbed toolbares it's
not possible to mix between tabs and icons. As you see in the linked
pickture with the buttons it would be possible. In addition there are way
more posibilities if you can use a button to open the context toolbar than
tabs.

And it look better ;-) In the end I can make something like this

@eszka please help me.

thanks in advance

I wanted to make this possible. In that picture you can see results of my (still WIP) improvement:

Yes, your notebookbar layout looks really good :) I think this is a cool idea and probably not hard to implement. I will try to create that kind of buttons.

use.

In reply to this post by eszka
Would be nice if all the buttons (save, undo, redo) were in a single tab
and there was a simple means (ideally xml) of updating the list of buttons.
