Yet again verbatim copy above of text box after 'reply' hyperlink
activated in gmail web interface, i.e. no content after the final
right angle bracket (>) message quotation mark above this line of
text. Equally indisputable fact, the same 'reply' hyperlink in gmail
web interface does not delete inline messages in mailing lists
archives of gnuplot, r, claws-mail.

Here, reply from gmail, without edits.

So it isn't even a problem of gmail, but only for you using gmail, as
"my" gmail doesn't have a problem replying with the content. Check
your labs or whatever settings.
