Hi,
I've just upgraded from 3.4.5 to 3.5.0 and the File->Recent Documents menu remains empty regardless of whether I open files, create files or edit files (tried Writer and Calc). I can't see anything in a quick scan of the mail list, and the closest thing I saw in Bugzilla was "Recent Documents list does not work" (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39026) which is apparently fixed. Does anyone else see this? LibreOffice 3.5.0rc3/Build ID: 7e68ba2-a744ebf-1f241b7-c506db1-7d53735 on Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit). Hi :)
It sounds like you have found a regression. Please add a comment to the bottom of the bug-report to help the devs fix it (again) Regards from Tom :) --- On Wed, 15/2/12, Leon Stringer <[hidden email]> wrote: From: Leon Stringer <[hidden email]> Subject: [libreoffice-users] Recent Documents menu not working in 3.5.0? Hi!
The files of Libreoffice3.5 are now in .config/libreoffice/3 and they seem not to be read (in 3.4, it was .libreoffice/3). In the file /opt/libreoffice3.5/program/bootstraprc, I changed UserInstallation=$SYSUSERCONFIG/libreoffice/3 by UserInstallation=$SYSUSERCONFIG/../libreoffice/3 and now the Recent Documents menu is working, and the files of Libreoffice3.5 are in libreoffice/3 Regards, Guy |

Nearly ;-) LibreOffice has a time based release plan, so 3.5.0 is a version for "early adopters". Speaking of "final" in this context may be technically correct but does not reflect the bug status very well, as for a .0 version only severe bugs (crash, data loss) have been fixed, see release criteria[1]. Every new micro version (.1, .2, .3...) will have less bugs than the .0 release. I have been using LO 3.5 for opening 5 documents and 2 databases. My recent documents list now shows seven entries, and I have accessed these seven files today. I downloaded LO (64 bit) from the LO website. OS: Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit. It would be nice to know why some are having a problem with this, and others are not. --Dan -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [hidden email] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted |

On Windows you should be able to fix this by renaming registrymodifications.xcu (%APPDATA%\LibreOffice\3\user). However other application settings will be reset by doing this (which is why I say "rename" and not "delete"!). -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [hidden email] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted |
