Silverstripe/server probs

Hi,

Probably noticed by others/already, but for me it's not possible to
load, thus update pages. I get errors.
Will try later this evening or so...

Also: yesterday I added some text to the special x.y.0 field for the
main site download page. But I do not see it on the published site.
Might have gone lost in a server problem too?

Regards,

Indeed, same problem for me.

Best regards.

Yeah - for some reason php's cpu usage did rise, still not sure what
the root-cause is.
As a workaround I did raise the timeouts.

Can not reproduce that - I see
"Dit is LibreOffice 3.6.0 - met zorg gemaakt en met trots
gepresenteerd door de LibreOffice-gemeenschap. Maar omdat het de
allereerste versie is een nieuwe serie, moet u zeker de
Uitgaveopmerkingen lezen (zie de link rechts)."

Or maybe just a browser-cache thing.

Re: Silverstripe/server probs

Hi Christian,

I still have no access in the page.

I tried to access the page in four computers with differents browsers
and two computers it was my first access, no cache.

I have no message error to report, because I can see only a blank page.
I need to change some pages in the Brazilian site.

Hmm. It should be slow, but in general it should work.

If it is urgent, mail what needs to be changed and I'll update the
pages for you.

Ah, for you it was a different problem - similar to the problem the
Turkish project had.

You somehow managed to create a inconsistent page hierarchy.
i.e. one page is subpage of another, but when that page is subpage,
then that page itself cannot be a subpage of one of its children.

The baixe-ja-o-libreoffice-em-portugues-do-brasil was moved to the
toplevel, but on the live-site it is a subpage of baixe-ja - but as
you changed the title to baixe-ja (from outras versões) I assume this
was an intentional move.

I myself failed to recreate such a situation in my own testing in a
vm, so probably it must be a combination of bad luck and whatever
other circumstances.

Anyway - you should be able to log-in to the backend again.

ciao

Still very slow, but it seems I can do something..
Hope you find the source of the troubles and that is doesn't have to
much impact on the work.

Yeah... I wrote (and meant) the *main* site. But it does show the text now.

On the main site, you did only "request publication", but did not
publish it yourself. I did approve the request today, so no
malfunction here, just the wrong button pressed.

Just out of curiosity, when someone picks "request publication", to whom
does the request go to?

To all who are in the Publisher-group on the subsite, i.e. more or
less everyone who has publishing rights.

You can also see the pending requests in the reports, (expand the
corresponding item below the site-tree for a quick and select
"publication requests I need to approve" or whatever it is called in
english.

There have been three publication requests that have been sitting
around for months (one even for more than a year)... :-((
Those were about adding redirector pages to external sites into the
main navigation menu (an Idea that I personally dislike). I only
closed one, and only commented on the other two.

ciao

Thanks. I'll also keep an eye out for these from now on.

I just got off the FR site, and trying to make changes is practically
impossible with the slow server speed. It is almost to the point where
the speed makes it impractical to create/edit pages at all.

Just thought I would let you know.

BTW ... we do appreciate all of the time you spend working out our
problems, thanks. Thanks also to the team!

Cheers,
