FYI:
* I have updated the Marketing wiki page so that the "Events Calendar" appears in the menu bar as well as entry on the landing page itself. * I have added the language bar for the localizing of the events calendar as well as the FAQ page * I have also added a series of US events to the events calendar. Where an event is past, I have written "LibreOffice -- was not represented" and where events are upcoming I have written "LibreOffice -- PLANS PENDING". If you are a US citizen and are interested in marketing LibreOffice, please consider joining the US marketing team mailing list[1]. Also, if you are a US citizen and are interested in marketing LibreOffice, feel free to browse through the conferences on the events calendar[2] to see if there is a conference that you may consider attending and organizing some LibreOffice presence (this may mean manning a table/booth or just passing out leaflets/pamphlets etc. Finances are usually an issue, but the first step is letting us know of your availability and then we can work on financing the event. Even for people who are willing to travel to a conference and represent the TDF/LibreOffice brand would be welcome. Thanks for pointing that out. BTW ... I thought of you when I posted the info for the (US) Open Help Conference and Sprints event on the calendar (10-15 aug 2012)[1]. It sounded like a conference that would fit right into what you do so well -- documentation. If only the TDF/LibreOffice would have enough $$$$ to support you if you were able to go. Documentation is so important to the project. *nudge to TDF* :-) Cheers, Marc [1] https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/EventsCalendar -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [hidden email] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/marketing/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted |

I'm very glad that the LibreOffice Conference is in Europe! I'd like an excuse to visit Brasil!
Mexico: AFAIK, it's difficult to get there from here without going through some US airport. --Jean On Fri, May 18, 2012 at 7:41 PM, Tom Davies <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi :) > Brasil would be good too, perhaps a half-way(ish) point like Mexico? Hi :)
Perhaps Cuba? or am i going completely the wrong direction? I guess Cuba buys into the US Company more than Brasil. We hear a lot from Brasil but almost nothing from Cuba.
