I agree with Andrew. I have faced this 'issue' too. In my case, this
happens when I am moving back and forth between my laptop and desktop. My desktop has a 24 inch monitor and when I am working on a document, I zoom in to about 150% there. When I want to work on the same document on my laptop that has a samller screen, LibO remembers (rightfully so) that the zoom level for the document is 150% but left aligns the page showing empty margins while center aligning the page would still be able to display the contents properly. I hope someone could shed light on this behavior - is this an expected one? a designed feature, or a bug that needs fixing? Thanks, Vamsi. Hi all!
Sorry for commenting a bit late, but my vacation just ended ... so I'm back and crawling through my mails (during the last days). Well, personally I think that is another issue - there are some similar problems that drive people drive nuts with regard to multi-page views. Andrew, there may be issues with the zoom slider. If done properly, there could even be some difference between "setting the zoom via the slider" (limiting the default zoom level) and "setting it via number entry" (providing a larger zoom range). For those who might work on improvement proposals, here is an (extensive) list of what we've collected in the OOo UX team. If some tiny issues could be resolved (e.g. by providing a good description how it should work), then this would be very helpful: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Zoom_Slider#Design_and_User_Experience_issues Cheers, Christoph > On 08/29/2011 01:39 AM, Andrew Pullins wrote: > > well I can kinda see how some one could use it but I just wanted to talk > > about the centering mostly. like I said it is stupid. > > > > On Mon, Aug 29, 2011 at 3:43 AM, Cedric Bosdonnat< > > [hidden email]> wrote: > > > >> On Sun, 2011-08-28 at 21:37 -0400, Andrew Pullins wrote: > >>> why does LibreOffice writer even have a 600% zoom. Hey All,
I've updated my profile and designed the first mockup of what LibreOffice could be like. Please tell me what you think! Suggestions would also be nice :) Please know that this is something I did in about an hour, so my apologies if it's looking a tad bit awkward.
